The very same  big band sound that filled America's dance and concert halls over a half century ago is alive and swingin' right here baby!

Carlo Fazio - Trumpet

Carlo Fazio hasn't given us an official bio yet, so most of what you read here is unauthorized, and some of it may even be fiction.  Let the reader beware.

Carlo is a fine brass musician, teaching as well as playing.  Besides the trumpet, he regularly plays an obscure  instrument called the French Horn.  His wife, Phoebe, tries to discourage this, as it scares their two daughters.  At Grant School, Carlo is occasionally called "Mr. Fazio," due to his teaching position (usually vertical).   He's reputedly quite accurate with the little baton he carries, so an element of healthy fear may be partially to blame.  We are fortunate to have Carlo in the Straight Ahead organization, especially as he offers us a chance to return to school one night every year to play a benefit for the Grant music students.

This photo was taken in Weaverville, at a Valentine Dinner Dance.  Carlo was on fairly good behavior, despite his wife not attending.
