Dick Morris - Trumpet

Dick Morris is a consummate musician and a true gentleman, just modest enough that he wouldn't say those things about himself. We think he was born high in the mountains of Trinity County, where he frequently travels this day, to hidden locations known only to him and his mules. 

Dick began his musical journey with a trumpet in the 5th grade, continuing through school in Weaverville and college at San Jose State. Although he helped run the family business for years, he has always followed his love of music of all types. Dick was principle trumpet for the Shasta Symphony for over forty years, and has been with the Straight Ahead Big Band almost since its inception. We all appreciate his dedication to the group, his musical contributions, and his friendship.
