The very same  big band sound that filled America's dance and concert halls over a half century ago is alive and swingin' right here baby!

Paul Senn - Trumpet

'Paulie' was born in a little run-down shack outside of Tupelo, Mississippi. It was the third of June, a sleepy dusty Delta day. Mom was out chopping cotton and Daddy was baling hay. And at dinner time they stopped and walked back to the house to eat. Mama hollered out the back door, "Y'all remember to wipe your feet. And then she said, "I got some news this morning from Doctor Gray. He said this swelling in my belly's gonna be a baby boy today.

So, he grew up big and strong on Mama's black eyed peas, biscuits, apple pie and poke salad. Fortunately for the band, he took up the trumpet, following in his grandfather's footsteps. (Gramps is Gene Chord, well known by jazz aficionados hereabouts.)  As much as we enjoy having him play in the big band and combo, he's said he might go play on Caribbean cruise ships for a while. In order to keep that from happening, we encourage you to send him multiple emails. If he thinks they're from girls, he'll pay attention,  so tell him this...
