of visiting bands at
Disneyland.
In
1970, he relocated to Redding, and
directed the All-Northwest Band
Review for high school bands until
1979, when he moved to Washington,
DC. While in our nation’s capitol,
he played in various bands and
orchestras, including a brass choir
with members of the National
Symphony brass. A job opportunity
took Ron and family to Columbus, OH,
where he continued to play in
various community and church groups,
including substitute trombone
for the Jazz Arts Big Band, a
nationally known and recognized
semi-pro band. In Columbus, he was
part of the Grace Orchestra,
accompanying such Christian music
artists as Sandy Patty, Larnell
Harris, Steve Green, and Amy Grant.
Returning
to Redding in 1999, he has played with the Rapture Brass
Choir, the Shasta Community Band, the Shasta Jazz Band,
and the Simpson College Orchestra. He plays 3rd Trombone
in the Straight Ahead Band. Ron is married (41 years)
to Audy, and they have 4 adult children and 6 grandchildren.
He owns Mustang Properties, a real estate development

Williams Realty.
Currently, he is also in Law
School to earn a Juris Doctor (JD) with
a specialty in Mediation-Arbitration Services. He is also
a retired Colonel in the USAF Reserve, having served for
